- Pantak Orthovoltage Unit
- Siemens Sensation CT
- Varian Ximatron CX Simulator with CT
- Pinnacle 3D Treatment Planning System (ADAC)
- Low Dose Rate Selectron in ward
- Comprehensively equipped Mould Room
- Varis Oncology Management System
We offer full orientation and excellent clinical support. A strong commitment to professional development and in-service education programs to support high standards of radiation therapy practice is a real plus within this service.
You'll be New Zealand registered and have recent experience and knowledge of contemporary issues in the field of Radiation Therapy.
Currently we require Radiation Therapists with 2 to 3 years plus experience. Permanent full and part time, fixed term and casual vacancies are available.

Are you looking for a senior and highly influential clinical leadership role in Radiation Therapy? Do you want to influence radiation therapy service delivery and models of care into the future?
The Auckland Radiation Oncology Department is the second largest in Australasia and the largest in New Zealand. We have a modern and busy department employing 50 FTE Radiation Therapists and see nearly 3,000 new patients per year. Cancer services in the Auckland region are growing and expanding into the future, with a recently signed off Regional Radiotherapy Service Strategic Plan. To support the implementation of this plan and facilitate the growth and development of the Radiation Therapy profession, Auckland District Health Board has recently completed a workforce sustainability review and we are delighted to announce the establishment of a new senior leadership role for Radiation Therapists. The Professional Leader for Radiation Therapists will be a member of the senior leadership team for cancer services, partnering with the Clinical Director and Service Manager in leading change and managing the service. They will also work closely with the Principal Physicist.
Reporting to the Director Allied Health, Scientific & Technical, this key leadership role is part time (28 hours per week), inclusive of two tenths clinical time to meet practicing certificate requirements. Other clinical FTE is also available if you would like to work up to full time. This key role is responsible for leading the clinical quality and professional governance requirements of Radiation Therapists. In addition to your role within with the regional cancer service senior leadership team, you will also contribute to the multi disciplinary team of Allied Health/Technical Professional Leaders.
You must be a NZ registered Radiation Therapist (or eligible for registration), with experience in a senior role in a clinical and leadership capacity. You'll need to be a team player with an ability to work collaboratively with clinicians from other disciplines. A passion for guiding and supporting others is a must as is being a top class communicator.
