Rouse Educational Trust

Shortly after the first Annual General Meeting of the New Zealand Society of Radiographers in 1959, a gift of 100 pounds was received from Mr Edgar Rouse who retired that year from the position of Chairman of Kodak, Australia.

Mr Rouse requested that his gift be applied to some aspect of education and the Society instituted a separate account bearing his name with a formal Deed of Trust in operation since 1962.

Accumulation of further monetary gifts, interest on investments and NZIMRT Capitation Fees brings the Trust to its current position. As well as supporting the continuing professional development of MRTs and RTs, the Trust also supports the K.C. Clark Memorial Orator at the NZIMRT Annual Conference and the attendance of the New Zealand ISRRT representative at ISRRT meetings.

The Rouse Educational Trustees invite applications from MRTs and RTs who are undertaking all forms of continuing education, from conference attedances to formal educational programmes.

Applications are considered three times each year and completed applications (along with supporting documentation) must be in with the Rouse Educational Trust Secretary by 1st March, 1st July and 1st November.

Contact the NZIMRT Executive Officer at gensec@nzimrt.co.nz for application forms and application instructions.

Alternatively Application Forms and Instuctions may be downloaded from the menu to the left.

The future of medical radiation technology in New Zealand is dependant on a progressive approach, and the Trustees welcome any opportunity to help develop your professional development.
